QUALITY MAINTENANCE WITH MEANING

NOT JUST ANOTHER MECHANIC POSITION

COMBINE YOUR CAREER WITH PURPOSE

AMA continuously accepts applications for employment at our headquarters in Sentani, Papua, Indonesia, or one of our satellite bases.

To join us as a trainee, applicants need to have completed Senior High School (SMA) or its equivalent. Step by step an employee apprentice can attain the qualification as a fully licensed mechanic. See the right column for a hiring process overview.

* In the future we plan to train new mechanics in house. Today we still rely on the training modules at UNNUR (Universitas Nurtanio) or STPI (Sekolah Tinggi Penerbangan Indonesia).

  • Applicants start on a 2-year contract. Over that period the trainee learns the basic skills of aircraft maintenance. During this 2-year probationary period the trainee must display a positive working attitude, dedication, and integrity.
  • When the trainee meets AMA’s standards, the trainee will be offered permanent employment. AMA will then send the trainee to Bandung for their basic mechanical license at UNNUR (Universitas Nurtanio). Upon receiving their license the mechanic is bonded for 3 years. AMA covers all training costs.
  • When AMA considers proficiency standards to have been met, the employee may be sent for airframe and engine specific training on the Cessna C208, Pilatus PC6 or PAC750.
